The Issues
Immigration:
Fighting for the people of Southwest Oklahomans begins with protecting our heritage and job market from the havoc wreaked on Okahomans by the suicidal illegal immigration policies of the Biden administration and lackluster response by the Oklahoma state government. Senator Deevers will continue spearheading efforts to protect our people by expelling illegal immigrants and limiting H1-B abuses as much as possible.
Affordability and Taxes:
Expelling illegal immigrants who are driving up home prices and draining public resources is a start, but we also need to ban corporate home ownership that drives up costs and forces families to compete against billion dollar corporations in the home market. Property tax reform is also a priority of Senator Deevers.
Abolish Abortion:
Many politicians like to pretend we've done all we can do to protect defenseless preborn children in the womb, but what they don't tell you about are the massive loopholes in our pro-life laws that allow abortion pills to continue flowing freely throughout our state despite the abortion mills closing down. Babies are still being legally murdered in Oklahoma. Senator Deevers has fought to pass the Abolition of Abortion in Oklahoma Act, and momentum is growing with more coauthors on the bill this year than ever before.
2nd Amendment:
The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is an essential safeguard for liberty. I have been proud to work closely with the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association on numerous policies making it easier to protect yourself and your property from all threats. I will always defend the 2nd amendment.
Veterans and Military:
Senator Deevers will continue fighting for the Honoring Our Heroes Act to expand the veterans’ property tax exemption to include all honorably discharged veterans. He will also fight to exclude veterans from having to pay license fees.
Abolish Pornography:
Few things have ravaged the spiritual health of our nation and our state like pornography. Senator Deevers’ boldness in fighting to abolish pornography has resulted in numerous pornography abolition bills being filed around the country. I will continue fighting until degenerate pornographers no longer can push their smut onto our kids.
Equal Representation Reform:
Tyrannical Senate rules enable the establishment to bury conservative priorities and punish conservative legislators, while prioritizing lobbyists and political insiders who make the decisions behind closed doors. Senator Deevers' assistant Brady Butler wrote a comprehensive rules reform package that has picked up momentum across the state.
Oil and Gas:
The oil and gas industry provides countless Oklahomans with the ability to provide for themselves and their families. A 2021 study found that this industry directly or indirectly supports 15.3% of Oklahoma jobs and accounts for 23.8% of our State's labor income. But tragically, many of our biggest employers are now moving their operations to Texas where taxes are lower. Currently the oil and gas industry has a 7% gross production tax levied at oil and gas on them, in addition to income taxes. We cannot bite the hand that feeds us. I will fight to reduce the gross production tax and speed up the path to zero income tax decreases.
Health Freedom and Covid Mandates:
Senator Deevers led the fight against Covid tyranny and will always fight to ensure that nothing like the destructive mandates of the Covid era is ever allowed to harm the people of Oklahoma again.
Grow the Conservative Movement:
As vice-chair of the Oklahoma Freedom Caucus, Senator Deevers has helped lead the conservative movement inside the Oklahoma legislature, helping organize and strengthen the efforts of conservatives in the Senate and House.
Parental Rights:
God designed families--one man, one woman, and their children--as the building blocks of a thriving, well-ordered society. Good families build good governments. We must protect traditional marriage, parental authority, and rights to access, evaluate, and make healthcare and educational decisions. I will fight to make sure Oklahoma laws never interfere with the spiritual and economic thriving of families.
Critical to my goal of strengthening families is putting decisions about important topics like health and education back in the hands of parents who love their children, not power-hungry politicians and bureaucrats. I will work with groups like Oklahomans for Health & Parental Rights to fight for parental rights, health choice, health privacy, and informed consent.
Politicians and bureaucrats do not know your children as well as you do nor do they care uniquely for your children like you do. I promise to empower parents to raise and care for their children free from unconstitutional and immoral government interference.
